Your property description is as important as your photos for successfully marketing your property.  The trick is to highlight the best features of your property and tell the truth, it is essential to be as accurate as possible with your description. Here is our ‘How To’ on describing your property. Or if you prefer you can use our quick guide to writing a description.

 

1. Begin with a headline that gives the best overview of your property examples might include:

  • Charming cottage in quiet location
  • Luxury penthouse in city centre
  • Sea-view villa in popular resort
  • Family home in sought after suburb
  • Historic farmhouse in quiet country setting
  • Stylish townhouse, recently reformed
  • Spacious semi perfect investment property

 

2. Give an overview of the property and its main features and benefits.

This delightful 3-bed property boasts incredible views over the city of xxx, mere walking distance from schools, shops and restaurants.

 

3. Describe the key features of the major rooms and the condition of the property including the style of décor such as:

  • Bright and modern
  • Luxury fixtures and fittings
  • Large picture windows
  • Central heating/air con
  • Double glazing/shutters
  • Designer features
  • Decorated to a high standard
  • Classic with natural materials such as marble and hard wood floors
  • Carpeted throughout
  • Recently refurbished throughout
  • In need of renovation
  • In need of minor re-decoration

 

4. Number of bedrooms with details such as

  • Wardrobes
  • dressing areas
  • en-suite bathroom
  • dimensions

 

5. The number of bathrooms and toilets including a description of the suite:

  • Shower room
  • Type of bath (whirlpool, Jacuzzi)
  • Wet room
  • Classic white
  • Modern (colour)

6. Describe the living room including details such as:

    Hmm is anyone else experiencing problems with the images on this
    blog loading? I’m trying to figure out if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog.
