Designer of the month UK
We asked on Twitter if there were any Interior Designers that would like to Showcase on our Blog and we are happy to Introduce Medina Sam from MK Kids Interiors as our first. It is quite good timing as well because the kids have just returned to school and we might be able to find a bit more time to jazz up their bedrooms or even do it as a surprise!
This is what Medina has to say about herself and her company
Years as a designer:
What do you specialise in?:
My business MK Kids Interiors specialises in designing bedrooms, playrooms and nurseries for children.
What inspires you?:
The Children I design for are my greatest inspiration for room designs. I design spaces around the wants and needs of the children I meet. I’m also inspired by the colours and shapes in nature.
Who ́s style do you admire?:
I admire the style of Michel Boyd an american interior designer, I love his bold and extravagant style. Kelly Hoppen, I admire the way she allows symmetry to dictate her designs. She does it well!
Who would be your fantasy client?:
I would love to design for the modern Royals: Kate, Will, Baby George and baby on the way :). That would be so exciting!
What would be your fantasy project?:
My fantasy projects would be a project with no budget. I would love it to be a children’s hotel!
Your favourite quick tip for our readers:
Have a budget, an idea of the things you like and dislike before approaching a designer. And be creative in your thinking!
